It is with profound sadness that Glen's family announce his unexpected passing on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2017.
Glen was born in Rivers, Man. He was a tender and gentle man, who will be missed by his wife, Carla; son, James (Amanda); grandchildren, Kieran, Liam, Ella, and Andrew (and their mother, Ruth); his mother, Valerie; sister, Lys (Dennis) Clifford; and his brother, Tim (Bernie).
Nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as distant relatives and close friends, also survive.
Glen was predeceased by his father, James Stanley (Stan); as well as his grandparents.
Glen worked for many years in the bush with Great Lakes Paper before changing careers and joining the Ministry of Correctional Facilities as a guard.
Prior to his retirement, he held positions in Thunder Bay and most recently Fort Frances.
Glen was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer throughout his life, and will be remembered for providing and preparing countless delicious meals and retrieving his golf club (in the early hours) from at least one tree after a bad shot.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
