EARLE CLENDENNING

It is with great sadness, and yet great respect for a special life lived, that the family announces the passing of Earle Clendenning on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005.
Earle was born in Winnipeg, Man. to Arthur Burnett and Margret May Belle Clendenning on Sept. 27, 1929. They both predeceased him in 1975 and 1971.
Earle was united in marriage to his lifelong partner and best friend, Frances Barbara Young, in 1958.
In 1971, Earle relocated his family to Fort Frances, Ont., where he was district manager of West Fair Foods. Earle enjoyed business and working with people.
He later opened his own retail business. He was very proud and devoted many hours to his successful business of more than 30 years.
Earle is survived by his two sons, Stuart (Denise) and Scott. He also is survived by his sister-in-law, Marie Young of Winnipeg, Man.
Earle truly enjoyed the visits he got from his five grandchildren, Alyssa, Hailey, Calie, Jake, and Jenna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Earle’s life will be held Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Officiating the service will be Chaplain John Chornabay.
Pallbearers will be Todd Hamilton, Sean Taggart, Brent Tookenay, Rudy Anderson, Brent Larson, and Darren Turcott.
Honourary pallbearers will be friends, Pricilla Wright, Rainycrest staff, and John and Cindy Clemens.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to Riverside Health Care Facilities Inc.’s dialysis unit or the “Community Chest.”
