With her loving husband, Tim, by her side, Cathy Tucker (nee Marr) passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cathy was born on Dec. 13,1960 to the late Muriel and Jack Marr. She was raised in Fort Frances with her nine siblings, and made Fort Frances home for her entire life.
If anyone ever needed a smile, hug, words of encouragement, or even just a laugh, she was always there. Her kindness and loving ways will be remembered and missed by many.
Cathy married Tim, the love of her life, on March 26, 2004. You always could find them together; whether it be relaxing at home, on a little road trip, out in the boat, or checking traps up the highway.
For the past few summers, she would tell you they were “Living the Dream" on their houseboat up on Rainy Lake with their puppy "Buster.”
Cathy had a very close relationship with her siblings and always made time for “The Sisters.” You always could count on Cathy, Susan, Barb, and Peggy to know where the best sales in town were, and they always were up and ready for the Saturday morning garage sales.
She also spent much of her time making memories with the Tucker and Howells family, who she left a great impact on and will miss her tremendously.
She worked for many years at the Fort Frances Clinic, where her co-workers became her friends.
Cathy was predeceased by her father, Jack, and mother, Muriel; siblings, Jack, Judy, Wendy, and Nancy; nieces, Tammy and Aimee; as well as her father-in-law, Raymond Tucker, and mother-in-law, Carol Tucker.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Tim; stepchildren, Jenna (Todd), Jodie, and Steven; her beloved grandchildren, Brayden, Kaydence, Liam, Noah, Emma, Frankie, Steven Jr., and Samara; brother, Jim (Brenda); sisters, Peggy, Barb, Susan, and Sandra; brothers-in-law, Blaine (Janice) and Ray; sister-in-law, Julie (Rick); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Cathy's life will be honoured with a drop-in celebration of life to take place on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Metis Hall in Fort Frances (714 Armit Ave.)
If friends and family so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1093 Barton St., Thunder Bay, Ont., P7B 5N3.
