Driver charged in accident

On Saturday around 7:30 a.m., Emo OPP officers investigated a motor vehicle collision on Highway #502, five km north of Cedar Narrows Road.
The driver of a northbound truck trailering a boat crossed the centre line and collided with a southbound truck trailering a boat.

A 55-year-old Kenosha, Wis. man was charged with failing to drive in a marked lane, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
Then shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, Fort Frances OPP officers investigated a weapon complaint on the 400 block of Sixth Street West.
Police attended the scene and arrested a 37-year-old Fort Frances man without incident.
He has been charged with three counts of careless use of a firearm and one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court July 16.
Then shortly before 9 p.m., officers investigated a disturbance on the 400 block of Sixth Street West.
As a result of that investigation, police arrested and charged a 37-year-old Big Grassy First Nation man with failing to comply with an undertaking.
He was remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.
Finally, Atikokan OPP is seeking public assistance in locating a stolen vehicle.
Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on June 1 and the early-morning hours of June 2, suspects stole a vehicle from a Maple Crescent address.
The vehicle is described as a 1985 Chevrolet Celebrity, blue in colour, with Ontario licence plates ATZX 382.
