New site for bottle returns in R.R,

Rainy River won’t be without a place to take empty beer bottles and the new returnable liquor bottles after all.
Although Border Service no longer is the local beer bottle return depot effective today (Jan. 31), Marion Brumwell of 316 Atwood Ave. will be taking them starting tomorrow (Feb. 1).

With the new liquor bottle deposit program beginning Feb. 5, Border Service had said it did not have the space—nor manpower—to handle the addition of them to their already overflowing beer bottle return area.
For a while it appeared residents in the Rainy River area would have to take their bottles all the way to Dev-Lynne’s in Devlin to return them.
But Brumwell has stepped up to the plate and will take them back on Mondays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday from noon-6 p.m.
People returning bottles should use the back entrance of the house.
