ANNA FEHR

It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Fehr announces her passing on Aug. 23, 2018. She passed away peacefully at the Riverside Health Centre in Emo, with family by her side.

Anna was born on April 22, 1937 in Warman, Sask. to Jacob and Margaret Braun (nee Martens).

She was the oldest of nine children and stayed home to help care for her siblings.

She was a baker at the Mission School in Fort Vermillion, Alta. before she met the love of her life. On Dec. 3, 1961 at the age of 24, Peter and Anna were united in marriage in Swift Current, Sask. and together they had 10 children.

Mom was a kind and gentle woman, always finding time for family, friends, and helping others.

She had a gift for gardening and a love for flowers.

Mom enjoyed quilting and knitting as well, each quilt and pair of slippers made with love and pride for her children and grandchildren whom she loved spending time with.

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed family gatherings where she prepared our favorite, traditional meals.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by us all, leaving a lifetime of fond memories.

She leaves behind her husband, Peter, of 56 years, and nine children, Stella Durant (Loren), Cornelius Fehr, Margaret Rousseau (James), Susan Pollard (Daniel), Peter Fehr (Linda), Jacob Fehr (Janene), Mary Fehr, Elizabeth Fehr (Mannie), Helen Branconier.

She will be missed by her 10 grandchildren Katherine Olsen (Chris), William Durant (Tara), Corey Fehr (Tiffany), Hailey Seidlitz (Rick), Carlee Fehr, James Rousseau (Megan), David Pollard (Melanie), Joshua Pollard (Kaylie), Jessica Proulx (Paul), and Tyler Fehr (Alexandra), and 13 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by siblings, Margaret Bueckert (John) of La Crete, Alta., John Braun of Red Deer, Alta., Aron Braun (Anna) of High Level, Alta., Jacob Braun (Sarah) of High Level, Alta., George Braun (Tina) of High Level, Alta., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Issac; parents, Jacob and Margaret Braun; brother, Peter Braun; and sisters, Tina Fehr and Susan Derksen

Visitation will be held at Northridge Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 from 6-8 p.m.

The funeral service was held at Northridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. with David Penner officiating. Interment followed at the Chapple Cemetery in Barwick.

Pallbearers were grandsons David Pollard, Joshua Pollard, Corey Fehr, Tyler Fehr, William Durrant and James Rousseau.

The honourary pallbearers were all of Anna's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
