A full slate of candidates will be on the ballot for the municipal and public school board election here come Oct. 22.
Rick Wiedenhoeft was the last candidate to put his name in prior to the 2 p.m. deadline on Friday.
Wiedenhoeft was a town councillor for 11 years after first being elected in the fall of 2003. He opted not to run in the 2014 municipal election.
He joins seven other candidates vying for six councillor seats, including Wendy Brunetta, Clinton Gray, Andrew Hallikas, Harold Huntley, Douglas Judson, Michael Behan and John McTaggart, who filed his nomination on Thursday, just after the Bulletin went to press that day.
And two candidates are vying for mayor. Ken Perry and June Caul, both who are currently councillors, will be on the ballot.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Berger was the final candidate to put her name in early Friday afternoon to run for one of the two Fort Frances trustee seats on the Rainy River District School Board in the Oct. 22 election.
Also in the race are Michael Graham, Raymond Roy, David Kircher, Peter Howie, and Rudolf Zeitlhofer, who filed his nomination on Friday morning.
Scott Krienke-Turvey withdrew his nomination early Friday afternoon.
Cathy Piotrowski and Donald Marquis both filed their nominations to run for Fort Frances trustees on the Northwest Catholic District School Board.
Since the separate school board has two seats designated for Fort Frances representatives, an election will not be necessary for those seats and both Piotrowski and Marquis will be acclaimed.
