The International Rainy-Lake of the Woods Watershed Board invites you to attend a meeting of its Water Levels Committee in International Falls, Mn. and a meeting of the entire board in Kenora.
The Water Levels Committee meeting on the new Rainy and Namakan lakes rule curves will be held Monday, Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rainy River Community College auditorium in International Falls.
The International Rainy-Lake of the Woods Watershed Board meeting will follow on Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Clarion Lakeside Inn & Conference Centre (Rosewood Terrace) in Kenora.
Both meetings are opportunities to hear about the activities of the board and its Water Levels Committee, meet members and staff, ask questions, and express concerns.
The International Joint Commission formed the International Rainy-Lake of the Woods Watershed Board to assist with binational co-ordination of water quality efforts for the entire boundary watershed, as well as to co-ordinate the management of the water levels and flows on Rainy and Namakan lakes and the Rainy River.
