Gloria Sawka was a long-time resident of Fort Frances, Ont. In 2012, she moved to Grande Prairie, Alta., where she passed away at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017.

For most of her life, she was a stay-at-home mom, dedicating her life to her family. She always was involved with her children and grandchildren's school activities, volunteering doing the lunch program at St. Francis School. She also volunteered for many years with Girl Guides of Canada.

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all who knew her.

For years she delivered the Winnipeg Sun and Thunder Bay Chronicle with her husband long after he passed away.

She always was willing to help anyone in need. She opened her heart and home to so many people and family who needed it. She was kind, caring, and loving. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren—they were her life.

Gloria is survived by her children, Juliane Good (Bob Bosma), Sean Good, Ross (Toni-Lynn) Good, James Sawka (Jess Fontaine), and Nicole Sawka (Mark Cook); and grandchildren, Tyler Good, Dustin Good, Morgan Good, Jacob Perusse, Tristan Good, Shaw Enns-Sawka, Kora Cook, and Leeland Cook.

She also is survived by her brothers, Gary Chapman and Dave Chapman; sisters, Becky (Frank) Ball and Adalyn Connolly; and numerous nieces and nephews,

She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Sawka; mother, Adeline Armstrong and father, Grandpa Chapman; step-father, Joseph Armstrong; brother, Ross Chapman; and sister, Coralie Comba.

The family would like to invite family and friends to a celebration of life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Fort Frances.

She will be greatly missed by all. We love you, Mom and Grandma. R.I.P.
