It is with sadness that the family of Melvin George Clark announces his passing on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
Melvin was born on March 21, 1927 in Dobie Township, Ont. to Fred and Josephine Clark.
He farmed in Rainy River District, as well as worked for Mando. He also helped his brother-in-law, Ken Munn, with carpentry work and construction.
He enjoyed trapping along Lawrence Lake, hunting, and fishing.
Melvin leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Josie, Denise (Dwight), Darlene (Stu), Norma, Herb (Marvel), Judy, Oscar (Bev), Maxine, Dianne (Doug), Donna, and Terry (Pam) and their families.
Melvin was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Josephine; and siblings, Dorothy (Chesley) Elliott, Phyllis (Ken) Munn, Reta Clark, Hazel Clark, and Cecil Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the United Church in Emo, Ont., with Rev. Ralph Fluitt officiating.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
The pallbearers will be Scott Hoffman, Doug Hoffman, Terry Munn, Irene Kaemingh, Melvin Meyers, and Cheryl Meyers.
If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Emo Hospital Auxiliary.
