DENNIS WILLIAM HYATT

Sadly, the family announces the passing of Dennis Hyatt, 78, on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. with his family by his side.

Dennis was born on July 29, 1939 to Jack and Illo Hyatt. He worked for many years at the Fort Frances paper mill.

In 1987, Dennis and his wife, Lee, partnered with Delbert and Nonie Barker and built and operated the Circle D Restaurant in Emo, Ont.

Dennis had a great passion for restoring antique cars and woodworking, and he had a small hobby farm when his granddaughters were small. He built his family home south of Emo on Lash Rd. #4.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his children, Crystal and Donald; grandchildren, Robyn, Hailey, Taylor, and Cassy; and his wife, Jan.

He also is survived by his siblings, David (Linda) of Fort Frances, Ont. and Gail (Joe) Roussin of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sister-in-law, Gayle Hyatt of Emo, Ont.; and numerous nephews.

Dennis was predeceased by his wife, Lee; his parents, Jack and Illo; brothers, Mervin Hyatt and Calvin Hyatt; sister, Beverly (Elliot) Cooper; nephews, Aaron Hyatt and Gille Roussin; and niece, Rhonda Hyatt.

A service of celebration and remembrance was held Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.

Interment will take place in the Emo Cemetery at a later date.
