The Rendevous Yacht Club held its first two races of their Wednesday night series May 23 and 30.
While only two boats came out on opening night, and five last week, Commodore Eric Rude is confident the numbers will pick up in the coming weeks.
Tonight’s races will take place at the Rendez-Vous dock at 6:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the first instalment of the Saturday Race Series is set for this Saturday (June 9) at 10 a.m.
The race May 23 saw Todd Hamilton (Through) beat Quinn McCarthy (Sedna).
On May 30, five boats showed up for a light air evening under beautiful skies. Hamilton (Through) once again took first place with a corrected time of 40.936.
Bob Algie single-handed the Salty Dog to a second-place finish in 44.108. Coming in third was new boat owner, Lonnie Parsons, captaining a Redwing 30 named Vixen.
Rounding out the fleet were McCarthy (Sedna) and Jeff Witherspoon (Sour Puss).
