Town council bullets

In other business at Monday night’s regular meeting, town council:
•referred a request from Fred Brown Equipment (1987) Ltd., re: a water bill account, to the Operations and Facilities executive committee for its recommendation;

•referred a request from Summit Telecom Services, re: Tbaytel’s request for concurrence for a proposed 20-metre cell tower in the laneway behind the Fort Frances Legion, to the Planning and Development executive committee for its recommendation;
•referred a request from the Economic Development Advisory Committee, for consideration of a resolution re: investigation of installation of directional signage in the proximity of the exit of the Canadian Customs facility, to the Operations and Facilities executive committee for its recommendation;
•referred a request from William and Kristi Albright, re: purchase of a portion of laneway in the vicinity of 755 Thompson St., to the Planning and Development executive committee for its recommendation, with input from the Operations and Facilities and Administration and Finance executive committees;
•referred a request from C. Kress, re: water services for 1029 Portage Ave. N., to the Operations and Facilities executive committee for its recommendation;
•referred a request from the Rainy River District Substance Abuse Prevention Team, re: Family Safety Day on Sept. 6, to the Operations and Facilities executive committee for its recommendation; and
•passed a bylaw to deem Lots 14 and 15 Plan SM-34 and Lots 33 and 34 Plan SM-109 (418 Third St. E.) to no longer be lots on a registered plan of subdivision.
