With the annual Rainy River District Festival of the Performing Arts only three weeks away, people can get their first hint of the talent to be included in this year’s event with the release of the program.
Programs, which cost $2 each, are now available at Tammi’s Flower Garden, public libraries across the district, and local schools.
This year’s festival, which will include dance, vocal, instrumental, piano, and drama performances, gets underway April 13. It wraps up Sunday, April 28 with the highlights concert at the Townshend Theatre.
Details will be finalized when the festival association meets Monday (March 25) at 7 p.m. downstairs at the Fort Frances Public Library.
Anyone wishing to help out with the festival is warmly welcomed to attend.
The festival association also is reminding participants that deadlines to apply for camp scholarships, and the Muriel Ross Memorial Scholarship for instrumental musicians, is March 31.
