Emo Figure Skating Club members as of late have been achieving successful results in testing categories and at the Thunder Bay Open a couple weeks ago,
This is especially true of the younger skaters. They’ve been skating their hearts out and making superb accomplishments.
The skaters are training Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s at Emo Arena with help from Border Skate Club members. It’s nice to see how well the two clubs have blended together, with Sarah McComb and Shane Katona giving our local skaters a few pointers, and Penny McComb making a few trips here to help club pro Marie-Josee Potvin.
This year’s theme is “Tribute to the Big Apple.” It will be staged Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at Emo LaVallee Community Centre. Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 at the door. Come out and enjoy the program, skaters always put on a delightful colourful entertainment.
