Riverside kicks off Canada Day raffle Big prizes up for grabs

The Riverside Foundation for Health Care is offering those who buy tickets for its “Canada Day Car, Cash and Cabin Lottery” seven chances to win big prizes.

The grand prize this year is a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT, courtesy of West End Motors and the Friends and Family of Edna and Allan Avis (valued at $25,035).

There also are four cash prizes of $2,000, $1,000, $500, and $500.

Also up for grabs is a fly-in fishing trip for two, courtesy of Campbell’s Cabins (valued at $3,766, the trip must be taken during the summer of 2007).

These prizes will be drawn for July 1 at 10 p.m. at the Harbourage.

As if anyone needed extra encouragement to get their tickets sooner than later, there’s also an early-bird prize—a weekend getaway for two at Trail’s End Lodge ($480 value).

The early-bird draw will be made Saturday, April 28 at 3 p.m. during the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Home and Leisure Show at the Memorial Sports Centre.

Tickets, which went on sale Friday, are available at West End Motors (both the Fort Frances and Emo locations), Cousineau Brokers, Green’s Countrywide, and Quality Custom Sewing, or by calling Foundation director Teresa Hazel at 274-4803.

Tickets can be bought for $20 each or in limited edition packs of three for $50 (once these three-packs are sold out, you only will be able to buy tickets for $20 each).

All tickets are eligible for all draws, with all proceeds from the lottery going to the Foundation’s “Just Imagine” campaign to purchase a CT Scanner for La Verendrye Hospital here.
