Paul Jewiss was the grand prize winner of the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s “Fun in the Sun” NHL ticket raffle.
He won tickets to games between the Montreal Canadians and Ottawa Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins versus Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as airfare from Winnipeg to Ottawa to Toronto to Winnipeg.
The prize also included two nights’ hotel accommodation, a weekend car rental to Winnipeg, and $1,000 in spending money.
This package has an overall value of $5,500.
Meanwhile, Delbert Ross won the second-place prize of tickets to see the Edmonton Oilers versus Minnesota Wild, as well as a one-night hotel stay, a weekend car rental to St. Paul, and $500 in spending money.
This package is worth $1,200.
And Scott Forster won the third-place prize of tickets to see the Carolina Hurricanes play the Minnesota Wild. This prize, worth a total of $450, also includes a one-night stay in St. Paul.
Proceeds from the raffle will go to “Fun in the Sun” fireworks and activities.
