Thunder nipped in OT

A courageous comeback ended up being in vain for the Borderland Thunder last night.

The hometown Dryden Ice Dogs (27-15-2-1) watched the Thunder (27-10-5-1) erase a three-goal deficit, but then steadied themselves in time to earn a 4-3 victory in overtime.

The win was only Dryden’s second in nine tries against the Thunder this season (goal scorers were not available as of press time today).

The Thunder next will host the Feathermen Hawks (10-31-1-4) on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.
