Canadian duo busted at Baudette

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations arrested two Valcourt, Que. men March 1 for possessing roughly 958 grams of hash and 11 grams of methamphetamines.
Stephane Grimard and Shawn Menard, both citizens of Canada, were encountered at the Baudette port of entry by CBP officers.

A detailed inspection of the vehicle revealed two bricks of an unknown substance that field tested positive for hashish.
Methamphetamine tablets also were discovered in the vehicle.
“This demonstrates the importance of the CBP mission and why our officers take their duties so seriously,” said Baudette Port Director Shelly Kraft.
Grimard and Menard were taken into custody immediately, and turned over to the Baudette police department for further investigation and prosecution.
