Cop killed

GUELPH, Ont.—A 26-year-old police officer in Ontario was killed early this morning when her cruiser hit a city bus.
Guelph police said Cst. Jennifer Kovach was responding to a call when her cruiser crossed the centre line and hit a Guelph Transit bus shortly after 12:30 a.m.

Firefighters extracted Kovach from her cruiser and she was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The bus driver was treated for minor injuries and there were no passengers on board at the time.
