But the two Muskie girls’ volleyball teams fell short in their quest of the Northland Cup on Saturday in Dryden.
The juniors lost a tightly-contested, three-set affair to the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora) in the final while the senior girls fell in the semi-finals to the eventual champion Dryden Eagles.
As with hockey, there is no OFSAA competition for the court teams due to fallout from the teachers’ protest over Bill 115.

The Muskie boys’ basketball teams once again are tops in their league after both the senior and junior squads captured the Northland Cup on Saturday in Kenora.
The seniors were pushed to the limit in the final against the Red Lake Rams, but came away with a narrow 74-72 victory.
