Speaker coming in
Monday, 4 March 2013 - 3:04pm
“We’re really excited about bringing Zahra Al-Harazi to Fort Frances,” enthused Diane Schwartz-Williams, manager of the Northwest Business Centre, which is hosting the event in partnership with the local Professional Women’s Network and the province.
“It’s going to be a great night,” she added.
Al-Harazi is the owner and creative director of the Calgary-based Foundry Communications, a Top 40 under 40, and a winner of Chatelaine’s Canadian Women of the Year award.
“Her keynote is an inspiring combination of her rise to professional and personal success,” said Schwartz-Williams, though adding there will be some local focus, too.
“She can talk so much of where she came from, how she started, the lessons she learned, and that we can all learn from as well,” she noted.
“She’s passionate about what she does.”
Schwartz-Williams said anyone who is in business, whether they are owning or operating or even working in it as an employee, would benefit from attending this event.
“I think it’s truly an event [that] an entrepreneur, or anyone who thinks they might like to go into business in some way, they’ll want to be there,” she remarked.
“Obviously, it will be predominantly women but I expect to see some men in the crowd, too.
“Men and women can both learn from what she’s going to speak to,” Schwartz-Williams said.
Tickets are available at the Rainy River Future Development Corp. office (274-3276) and the Rendez-Vous (274-9811).
