Tight battles abound in men’s hoops

In the late game, Taggs (2-8) withstood a late rally by Investors Group (6-4) to earn a 59-55 triumph—despite not scoring a basket in the final seven-and-a-half minutes.
Jacob McIntosh had 20 points to lead Taggs while Forrest Arch netted 20 points for Investors Group, who now have lost three-straight games.
League play will resume this coming Monday, with the Muskies taking on Investors Group at 6:45 p.m.
The late game will feature the Voyageurs versus Taggs at 8 p.m.

After taking a week off due to Family Day, the Fort Frances men’s basketball league returned to action this past Monday at the Fort High gym.
In the opening game, the league-leading La Place Rendez-Vous Voyageurs (8-2) went on a late scoring run to pull away with a 94-79 win over the Muskies (4-6).
