Silver rink in mid-pack

Silver was tied with Felix Lasalle (Timmins) and
Benjamin Manary (Sault Ste. Marie).
Horgan and Nick Servant (Sault Ste. Marie) were in first place in the seven-team field with 2-0 marks.
Silver opened round-robin play yesterday afternoon with an 8-6 loss to Servant, but bounced back yesterday evening by edging Mackenzie Joblin (Thunder Bay) 8-7 in an extra end.
The Fort Frances rink went up against Jaron Hoppe (Keewatin) this afternoon, then faces Lasalle tonight.
Their round-robin slate wraps up tomorrow morning versus Manary.
The top two teams in the standings will meet in the final on Sunday at either 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. (EST), depending if any tie-breakers are needed.

The Chris Silver rink was in a tie for fourth heading into this afternoon’s draw at the Northern Ontario Bantam boys’ championship in Longlac.
After splitting their opening two games yesterday, the Fort Frances Curling Club foursome, which also includes third Reece Jones, second Jason Bazylewski, and lead Kurt McGuire, fell 9-1 to Tanner Horgan of Sudbury this morning.
