Muskie pucksters drop games

The Muskie girls, meanwhile, were blanked 4-0 by the International Falls Broncos in exhibition action here Tuesday night.
Keanna Carlson turned aside everything that came her way for the visitors, who had dropped a 6-1 decision to the black-and-gold in International Falls back in December.
After facing the Rainy River Community College Voyageurs in a controlled scrimmage last night, the Muskie girls next travel to Kenora on Tuesday for a meeting with St. Thomas Aquinas.
For their part, the Muskie boys will open a two-game homestand tonight when they face the Sioux Lookout Warriors at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena.
The black-and-gold then will host the Red Lake Rams tomorrow at 7:15 p.m.

After strong openings to their seasons, both the Muskie boys’ and girls’ hockey teams still are searching for their first wins since returning to action following a month-long break due to teacher protests over Bill 115.
In their first NorWOSSA game since early December, the boys blew a 2-0 lead Tuesday night in falling 5-3 to the host St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora).
