Most-ever entries for squash tourney

“That means there is going to be a lot of games, including a couple of matches that will take place tonight [Thursday] starting at 6:30 p.m.
“But there is going to be a lot of exciting contests,” he added.
The bulk of the tournament action gets underway tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Memorial Sports Centre, and will run until about 10 p.m.
Play resumes Saturday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., with Sunday’s games running from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The tournament finals are set to start around noon Sunday.

Even though this year’s Wes Derksen LL.B. Squash Open was moved up a month from its usual February date, the 26th-annual edition will be the biggest yet.
“We’ve had 77 players sign up for the tournament, and that is the most that we have ever had,” noted tourney organizer Bob Tkachuk.
“But there is going to be a lot of exciting contests,” he added.
