And on Jan. 1 at 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of mischief to a local business on Portage Avenue here.
Upon arrival, members met with the owners of the complainants, who directed them to an intoxicated male who they had seen running across the street from the scene.
He also was observed on their video surveillance camera, breaking the front window of the establishment with his foot a short time prior to police arriving.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old male from London, Ont. was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and mischief to property.
He was held in custody on other previous charges of failing to comply with a court order.
He later was released Jan. 2 after pleading guilty to the charge and receiving a court disposition.
