Jean Anderson, 85, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
She was born March 12, 1928 in Manitou Rapids First Nation to Leonard and Margaret Wilson.
She worked various jobs over the years, retiring as a bus driver. She enjoyed going to the casino and Bingo.
As her health failed and she was unable to do the things she enjoyed, she never complained. Even in the last week in the hospital, she was joking, laughing, and putting a smile on the faces around her.
Jean leaves behind her children, Geraldine Hoard, Dennis Mosher, Gerald Mosher, and Steve Martineau; grandchildren, Christina McCauley, Florene Andy, Rhonda Andy, Gabriel Lloyd Mosher, Quentin, Melanie, Mitchell, Tammy, Tianna, Jeff, and Matthew Mosher, Christina Grover, and Rachel, Bryan, and Michelle Martineau; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sisters, Genevieve McGinnis and Roberta Sinclair; brothers, Willy Wilson and Leonard Wilson Jr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Linda Mosher; granddaughter, Charlene Windego; sisters, Alice Woods, Helen Hunter, and Elizabeth McGinnis; and brothers, Norman and Ronald McGinnis.
A private family viewing will take place Friday, Dec. 20, 2013.
Cremation will take place, with interment in the cemetery on the hill in Rainy River First Nations.
