Also surviving are her sister, Mabel Plymate; sisters-in-law, Carol Engstrom and Joyce Zub; and brother-in-law, Glen Canfield.

Elly was predeceased by her parents, Frans and Britta Engstrom; husband, Mike Zub; parents-in-law, John and Katherine Zub; sisters, Margaret Canfield and Doris Calder; brother, Enar Engstrom; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Lawrence Calder, El Plymate, Alec and Katherine Zub, Eddy and Jean Zub, Harry and Sally Zub, Roy Zub, and Nettie and Bill Galandly; and nephew and godson, Bradley Plymate.

A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances, with Pastor Brian Keffer officiating.

The honourary pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
