It is with great sorrow that the family of Jarrett Rousseau, 27, announces his peaceful passing, at his home in Fort Frances, Ont., on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 after a long, hard courageous battle with cancer.
Jarrett was born in Fort Frances on Feb. 25, 1986. He moved to Geraldton, Ont. for a few years, before returning to settle in Fort Frances in 2003.
Jarrett was a fun, outgoing, humorous individual. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, anything to do with being outside, hunting, fishing, walking, and bonfires.
He also enjoyed putting together and working on electronics, especially computers. He received a job at Howarth’s Home Centre, where he loved working.
In 2006, he met Mouse and they started dating in March. They stayed together through rough times and the good times.
In 2010, Jarrett helped create a beautiful little girl, Hazel Rose Rousseau. This was his best creation he had ever made.
Jarrett was predeceased by his grandfather, Raymond Rousseau; step-grandfather, Orielle DeGagne; and his mother-in-law, Sheila Ann Vivie.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Penny (stepfather, Rob); fiancée, Sharyn “Mouse” Wilson; daughter, Hazel Rose Rousseau; sister, Jennifer Rousseau-Krikke and nephew, Dominic Rousseau-Krikke; and numerous extended family members.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no funeral but close family and friends will be notified of a supper to be held in his memory.
If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to a trust fund set up for his daughter, Hazel’s, education fund at the Toronto Dominion Bank in Fort Frances.
