Crash leads to charges

An Atikokan area man was charged following a motor-vehicle collision Thursday on Highway 11 east of Atikokan.
Shortly after 6 a.m., members of the Rainy River District OPP responded to the scene and conducted an investigation which led to a male being arrested.

As a result of further investigation, Clinton Taylor, 56, was charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
Taylor will appear in court in Atikokan on Jan. 24.
Members of the public are urged to report impaired driving by calling 9-1-1 in emergency situations.
