Charges laid against teen

The Rainy River District OPP continues to investigate an incident at Fort Frances High School last Thursday where a male youth had a replica firearm in his possession.
As a result of their investigation, a Fort Frances male youth has been charged with:

•possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
•two counts of assault with a weapon; and
•failure to comply with a court order.
After a brief court appearance Friday, the male remained in custody awaiting a court date today in order to set a date for a bail hearing.
