Stacey Lee Bluebird, 39, of Toronto, Ont., passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
He was born June 19, 1972 in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was a very friendly and out-going person. He was respected for who he was and well-liked by numerous friends.
Stacey had many interests and hobbies. He loved his artwork and painting, and also loved to socialize and help out others. He spent a lot of his days volunteering at the Anishnawbe Health Toronto.
He also enjoyed spending time at the Allan Gardens Park in Toronto because of the white flowers.
He was very traditional and loved to dance pow-wow.
Stacey is survived by his mother, Margarete Bluebird of Winnipeg, Man.; father, Roland Bluebird of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sister, Sherri Bluebird of Winnipeg, Man.; and brothers, Ronald Bluebird (Leah) of Sault St. Marie, Ont. and Edwin Bluebird (Jade) of Thunder Bay, Ont.
Also surviving are his nieces, Sharla Bluebird (Hector), Shawna Bluebird (Franklyn), Shanida Bluebird, and Raven Guiboche-Bluebird, all of Winnipeg, Man., and Katie and Kaya Boshey of Lac La Croix First Nation, Ont.; and nephews, Alan Tarnowski Jr. of Airdrie, Alta. and Alex Boshey of Lac La Croix First Nation, Ont.
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews also survive.
He was predeceased by his younger brother, Terrence Lee Bluebird.
A traditional service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Roundhouse at Lac LaCroix First Nation. Elder Jim Windego will officiate, followed by interment in the Lac LaCroix First Nation Cemetery.
A wake will be held Friday evening, April 13, 2012 at the Roundhouse at Lac LaCroix First Nation.
The pallbearers will be his family and friends.
