‘Spirit of Christmas’ set to go on Sunday

Lots of interesting and creative Christmas crafts have been donated for the upcoming “Spirit of Christmas” set for this Sunday (Nov. 25) from 2-6 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
The Rainy River District Breast Health Network was given the opportunity to re-introduce the “Spirit of Christmas” this year to pay its pledge to the “Together We Can” campaign for the new digital mammography unit at La Verendrye Hospital.

All donated items will be up for bid in a silent auction.
There also will be a quilt raffle, prizes for winning games, and door prizes.
It will be a great afternoon to come out for a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy some home-made baking, and visit with family and friends.
Men are invited, too—maybe you can pick up a unique gift for your wife or mother.
“We encourage women [and men] of all ages, family, and friends to come out for a fun and festive fundraising afternoon,” said RRDBHN chair Teresa Hazel.
As an added bonus, the Riverside Foundation for Health Care’s “Wreaths ’n Things” also will be featured Sunday, which is a penny table full of handcrafted wreaths and other holiday items.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy some festive fundraising!
Admission is a toonie.
