Janet Wagner passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of her family, on the morning of Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Janet was born March 24, 1953 in International Falls, Mn.
Janet’s life, although too short, was lived fully with grace and courage. Her passing is a tremendous loss to her family and so many people in the community who were touched by her gentle, kind spirit.
Janet lived, attended school, and worked in International Falls all of her life. For 30 years, she was the owner and primary teacher of Jan’s School of Dance.
She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Doris Ginter; brothers, and brothers- and sisters-in-law; her husband of nearly 40 years, Darrell (Boxer) Wagner; and her daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and David James, Dana Wagner and Nat Hemstad, and Shawna and Tom Jensen.
Her seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Melissa, Tommy, Alice, Madeline, Zachary, and Miles, were blessed with the joyful presence of their grandma.
Janet leaves behind a legacy of compassion and commitment to family.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18 from 4-7 p.m. at Green-Larsen Funeral Home in International Falls, with a vigil prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in International Falls.
