SARAH EDNA ALEXANDER

We said good-bye to our wonderful, beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sarah Edna Alexander, on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the age of 97.

She quietly passed away with her family at her bedside in her home at Pinewood Court in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Dear wife of the late Norman Alexander; loving mother of Kathleen Robinson (Brian) of Pickering, Ont., and Shirley Lang (Ken) and Gael Jones (Lynn), both of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and precious grandmother of eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Edna was born in Kennedy, Sask. on Dec. 30, 1912 but lived most of her life in Emo and Fort Frances, Ont.

Edna and Norman married July 17, 1940 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage and three beautiful daughters.

She spent her last years living in Pinewood Court in Thunder Bay, and also is survived seven siblings.

Edna will be remembered for her great sense of humour, her quiet and gentle spirit, and the deep love she had for her family, friends, and dear Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Edna instilled in others the importance of generous and unconditional love. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

A memorial service will take place at Pinewood Court, 2625 Walsh St. E., Thunder Bay, Ont., on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at noon in the Emo Cemetery in Emo, Ont.
