Mrs. Dora Kutzak, 95, a resident of Thunder Bay, Ont., passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital-Hospice Unit.

Dora was born in Sirko, Man. on Aug. 23, 1914.

She married George Kutzak on Nov. 1, 1936 in Sundown, Man. Following their wedding, Dora and George resided in Arbakka, Man. for 19 years until moving to Port Arthur, Ont. in 1955 and then Fort Frances, Ont. in 1962, where she resided for 27 years.

After the passing of her husband, Dora moved back to Thunder Bay.

She loved gardening, working on her hooked rugs and quilts, and playing cards with family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William (Louise) of Calgary, Alta., Helen Pitura of Thunder Bay, Ont., Mary Mason (Henry) of Flanders, Ont., Elsie Mitchell (Allen) of Victoria, B.C., John Kutzak (Vicki) of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Rosanne Weidner (Alvin) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; grandchildren, Kelly Mousseau, Kathy Gordon (Jason), Lynette Pitura, Angela Galusha (Ted), Kevin (Irene) Mason, Bradley Mason, Lorne Mitchell, Bonnie Mitchell, Donna Stubbs (Niel), Tyler Weidner, and George and Tammy; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her sisters, Rosie Andrusiak of Sundown, Man. and Sophie Andrusiak (Pete) of Sundown, Man., and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, George (1988); parents, Mary and John Klym; brothers, George Klym and Matt Klym; and sisters, Lena Andrusiak (George), Sadie Tornpolski, and Katerine and Bill in infancy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court St., Thunder Bay, with Rev. Lloyd Ivany presiding.

Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.

Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service.
