Muskies sweep

For the first time this season, all four Muskie court teams came away with victories on the same day Tuesday afternoon in Kenora.
Leading the charge was the senior girls’ basketball team, which earned its first win of the NorWOSSA season by beating the host Broncos 22-17.

The junior girls, meanwhile, extended their winning streak to five with a narrow 34-32 victory, putting the defending champs in a strong position to earn a bye to the league final next month.
In boys’ volleyball action, both Muskie squads collected four-set wins over the Broncos, which improved their records to 3-3 with two matches left in the regular season.
The seniors won 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, and 25-15 to claim their second win of the season over Kenora
The junior spikers defeated their NorWOSSA rivals for the third time (25-13, 25-22, 19-25, and 25-22).
All four teams will resume NorWOSSA action on Tuesday in Dryden before concluding their regular-season schedule here next Thursday (Nov. 1) against the Broncos.
Prior to those matches, both Muskie volleyball teams will be in tournaments this weekend, with the juniors travelling to Dryden while the seniors compete in Winnipeg.
