Pair of spaghetti dinners slated

Local spaghetti-lovers will be in heaven on Thursday as two dinners are planned supporting two different causes.
Students in the Social Worker program at Confederation College here will host their dinner at the Fort Frances High School cafeteria in support of the “Community Chest.”

The Robert Moore School council, meanwhile, will stage its meal in support of the school’s breakfast program.
Tickets for the Social Worker’s dinner cost $8 for adults and $4 for children (those aged three and under are free), which are available at the college (274-5395).
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner being served from 6-8 p.m.
The Hallowe’en-themed event will include spaghetti, meatballs, garlic bread, and Caesar salad, as well as a bake table.
The dinner at Robert Moore School, which will run from 5-6:30 p.m., also will feature a penny table.
Tickets cost $5 each, which will be available at the door.
In related news, the Robert Moore breakfast program will be running the cake roulette during the “Great Canadian Chili Cook-Off” tomorrow.
Donations of cakes still are being sought, which can be dropped off at the Legion tomorrow morning.
