Decent showing for Muskie golfers
They failed to qualify for the all-Ontarios but Muskie golfers James Brown, Brandon Sinclair, and Abe Germain concluded their seasons on a positive note yesterday afternoon at the NWOSSAA championships in Kenora.
“The boys had a decent day,” Muskie head coach Brian Johnstone said this morning.
Brown led the black-and-gold trio with a round of 79 at the Beauty Bay Golf Course.
Sinclair carded an 81 while Germain finished with a 94.
“When he came off of the score, James was hoping that he did well enough to finish well in the standings, so he was happy with what he had done,” Johnstone noted.
“Brandon just got off to a bad start,” said Johnstone. “And while he held in there, he didn’t really bounce back as well as he would have liked.
“And with Abe, he told me after the round that he just couldn’t get anything going all day.”
