‘Life Chain’ slated Sunday
Thursday, 27 September 2012 - 1:31pm
It is important to note what Life Chain is not. It is not, in an any way, a political demonstration nor is it one of those adversarial “in your face” types of confrontation.
It also is not just a matter for any one Christian group to attend. Any and all groups, no matter what denomination, are most welcome.
It is purely and simply a matter of setting aside one hour from our hectic and busy lives to pray to God for all those affected by the tragedy of abortion and euthanasia.
It also is a time of searching our minds for ways to end the mistaken belief that the child in the mother’s womb is not fully human, right from conception until natural birth.
So during this hour of public witness and silent meditation, we will be praying for the safety of unborn children, for parents facing difficult decisions over unplanned pregnancies, for physically- and mentally-handicapped people, and, of course, in a time of dwindling health-care funds, for the elderly that they will receive all the support and respect they need as they near the end of their life’s journey.
Here in Fort Frances, signs will be available at the corner of Scott Street and Victoria Avenue from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Participants are asked to stand along the north side of Scott Street from Safeway as east and west as our numbers will allow.
We should stand at least 15 feet apart, holding our signs and silently praying for all the needs surrounding this important issue.

Press release
This Sunday (Sept. 30) from 2:30-3:30 p.m., Life Chain 2012 will line sidewalks and highways all across Canada.
This will be a prayerful vigil as defenders of human life pray for an end to the legalized and fully-funded killing of pre-born children, the elderly, and the most vulnerable members of our society.
