Women’s indoor soccer league seeking players

Local female soccer players will have a chance to get their “footy” fix indoors this winter as the Borderland Women’s Indoor Soccer League holds registration tonight at 7 p.m. at the Fort Frances High School atrium.
The league, which will get run every Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. starting Oct. 3, will see four players and a goalie playing on each team for each game.

“We will have the use of the full big gym for the games, and right now we are looking to have six teams taking part as we’ve had a lot of good feedback at this point,” said organizer Amy Wilson-Hands.
“We also have the gym booked until the end of April, so there will be a lot of games for everyone to play in,” she added.
The registration fee for the league, for players aged 13 and over with no experience necessary, is $20.
An additional $10 late fee will be charged for anyone who registers after Oct. 10.
