Frog Creek Open axed
Friday, 7 September 2012 - 1:08pm
Course manager Glen Kellar said a scramble event for golfers from Whitefish Bay is being held instead.
But a number of other events still are planned at Kitchen Creek for the rest of the month.
The annual club championships are slated for next Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 15-16) at 10 a.m., with the entry fee being $30.
Following that will be a two-person scramble set for Saturday, Sept. 22, with an $2,500 hole-in-one prize up for grabs.
The entry fee for that event is $120 per team.
Rounding out the month’s activities will be the golf portion of the first-annual “Sticks and Stones” open bonspiel on Saturday, Sept. 29.
It is being co-hosted with the Fort Frances Curling Club, where curling matches will be held on the Friday night and the rest of the day on Saturday.
An entry fee of $200 for each four-person team gets you into the weekend’s activities.
Those interested in taking part in any of the upcoming events at Kitchen Creek can contact Kellar at 274-4653.
