Overpass to re-open tomorrow morning
Thursday, 6 September 2012 - 1:00pm
This has been done to repair the south-side expansion joint.
Since the epoxy requires 60 hours to cure properly, this means the overpass must remain closed until tomorrow morning.
It has been closed to vehicular traffic since Tuesday morning.
Until then, westbound traffic will continue to follow a detour onto Eighth Street, Williams Avenue, and Fifth Street East.
Eastbound traffic will use a detour via Calder Drive and Lake Road.
Emergency vehicles still will be able to get through at all times, and pedestrians and cyclists are able to use the overpass.
