Mark Hopkins, 39, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away suddenly Sunday, June 24, 2001.
Mark was born in Iroquois Falls, Ont. on Aug. 11, 1961. He currently was working at Lakeland Personnel. He was an avid sports lover who enjoyed hockey, baseball, fishing, and golf.
Mark was married to Sandy Szlauko on Jan. 18, 1991 and they enjoyed 18 wonderful years together.
He was predeceased by their dog, “Ditto.”
Mark’s love for his wife, Sandy, and his friends was evident in everything he did. He will be sadly missed by everyone he touched in life. He loved life and lived each day to the fullest. “He made it to the Milky Way, Guys.”
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Mr. William Adair officiating.
The Thomas, Hicks, and Szlauko families attended the service, as well as many friends.
The honourary pallbearers were all of Mark’s friends.
