Stratton forces deciding game

It was a big-game performance on both the mound and at the plate by Guy Arpin.
Arpin earned the win—and also belted a grand slam—as the Stratton Eagles came away with a dramatic 8-7 win over the Big Grassy Braves in the Rainy River District Fastball League final Tuesday night.

With the win, the Eagles forced a one-game, winner-take-all affair tonight to determine the 2012 champion, with the opening pitch set for 6 p.m. in Stratton.
Jeff Kreger also homered for Stratton in the victory.
Travis Tom, who led the league during the regular season with a 14-2 record, was saddled with the loss.
Tuesday’s loss was the first for the Braves in the double-knockout playoffs, and their first setback of any kind since a 5-3 loss to the Barwick Blue Knights back on July 12.
