Still time to register for reunion

Local BIA merchants also will welcome locals and visitors.
Evening activities will be held at La Place Rendez-Vous, with the Friday evening consisting of appetizers, drinks, nostalgia, and fellowship, in addition to Myron Hawrylak entertaining with songs from the ’50s.
Saturday night will include dinner, followed by entertainment, music, dancing, lots of visiting and tall tales, and catching up on the last 60 years.
A total of 110 people have registered to date, with more than a half coming from out-of-town.
Former students are coming from nearby communities, such as International Falls, Atikokan, Nestor Falls, and Kenora, as well as from Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Marathon, Winnipeg, and Hamilton.
They also are coming from as far away as Anchorage, Alaska, Surrey, B.C., and Chilliwack, B.C.

Any local residents who attended Fort Frances High School from 1951-53 are encouraged to participate in “Reunion 60”—and there’s still time to sign up.
The event will run Sept. 7-8, with daytime activities featuring special events at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre, the Fort Frances Museum, and Fine Line Art Gallery, as well as cards at the Sister Kennedy Centre.
