Alex McDonald watched as his opening tee shot headed down the first fairway yesterday morning as he began the final round of the annual Kitchen Creek Classic. The winner of the last two editions of the tournament, McDonald fell two strokes short of making it a “three-peat” as he was edged by Glen Ward’s two-day score of even-par 144 for the overall title.
