Paul Veert of Winnipeg (#88) worked the inside line in Turn 4 to zip past Scott Messner of Bemidji, Mn. during the WISSOTA Super Stock Special on Saturday night at the Emo Speedway. Thunder Bay driver Rick Simpson was the class of the field, though, as he cruised to the feature victory. However, the night wasn’t a lost cause for Veert, who held off Christopher Leek to win the WISSOTA Midwest Modified main event. Other feature winners were Tylar Wilson (Street Stocks) and Gavin Paull (WISSOTA Modifieds).
