Hold off donations to Thrift Store here

“But we’re very thankful for all the generosity,” added Lt. Dennis Maybury.
He noted they have very hard-working staff members, but they need a few weeks to catch up.
The Thrift Store will be happy to resume taking donations Aug. 1.
In addition, the couple would like to remind the public that they would appreciate donated items to be in fair condition.
“Please only bring items of a quality you would want to purchase,” Lt. Dennis Maybury stressed.
Items that can’t be sold have to be hauled away at the expense of the Salvation Army, he noted.

The new officers for the local Salvation Army are asking the public hold off on dropping off donations to the Thrift Store for the next few weeks.
“It’s just overflowing,” noted Lt. Mary Maybury.
